Jakarta -Pemerintah melalui Kementerian Perdagangan akan melakukan persiapan secara menyeluruh menjelang bulan Ramadan. Menteri Perdagangan Muhammad Lutfi mengumpulkan perwakilan Dinas Perdagangan dari 33 provinsi untuk mengetahui kondisi di berbagai daerah.
"Hari ini, saya kumpulkan 33 Dinas Perdagangan tingkat provinsi. Bisa disimpulkan stok pangan hari ini tendensinya cukup baik, strukturnya jumlahnya lebih baik dari tahun sebelumnya," ungkap Lutfi saat ditemui di Kantor Kementerian Perdagangan, Jakarta, Jumat (30/05/2014).
Meskipun stok dirasa cukup, ancaman kenaikan harga pangan masih akan tetap terjadi sebelum dan selama bulan puasa. Oleh karena itu, untuk menekan harga dan tindakan spekulasi pedagang, Kemendag sudah mempunyai program operasi pasar yang melibatkan BUMN.
"Bulog pasar murah. Ada minyak goreng, terigu, gula. Ini (operasi pasar) juga akan dikerjakan Warung Rajawali untuk gula," kata Lutfi.
Tak hanya BUMN, pemerintah daerah pun dilibatkan dalam upaya stabilisasi harga. "Malah lebih banyak Pemda yang mengadakan pasar murah. Pasar penyeimbang ini perlu, karena kalau permintaan meningkat kadang terjadi spekulasi," tutur Lutfi.
Selain operasi pasar, Kemendag juga akan memasang papan harga elektronik di 165 pasar di seluruh Indonesia. Papan digunakan sebagai informasi harga produk pangan terbaru dan mencegah tindakan spekulasi harga yang biasa dilakukan pedagang.
"Bagaimana kita bisa menyebarkan informasi ke 165 pasar di 33 provinsi. Agar Pemda bisa melihat apakah daerahnya kelebihan suplai atau memerlukan barang tertentu untuk daerah sekitar," jelasnya.
